Last week, Christa Markwalder, President of the National Council of Switzerland, was in Albania for a three day states visit. She met the Albanian President Bujar Nishani, Prime Minister Edi Rama and Ilir Meta, Speaker of the Albanian Parliament.<\/p>\n

During these meetings, the key topics were the Swiss-Albanian relationships, the Albanian integration in the European Union and the development cooperation. Christa Markwalder stated that “we need political leadership that provides solutions” and , highlighted the good\u00a0relations between Switzerland and Albania.<\/p>\n

Markwalder visited also projects of Swiss development assistance SDC. She met a group of Albanian students, local entrepreneurs and the mayor of Durr\u00ebs.<\/p>\n
